Distinction : The second Walchool Mountain wrapped in mystery.
Dalma Mountain is very close to Walchool Mountain. Because of its various rock shapes and similarity to Geumgang Mountain, it has been called “the little Geumgamg of Honam.” Another attraction is Mihwang Temple, which is located in the extreme south. This time-honored temple has a legend of mystery, raising speculation that Buddhism may first have come to Korea by sea. The temple contains three yellow things: yellow moss on a rock, a spring with a golden color and the sunset as experienced in the hall.
A walk along the mountain provides a fantastic, continuing view of the mountain and islands below. Lucky hikers can see Halla Mountain on Cheju Island to the direction of Gyukja Mountain, Bogildo. Dalma Mountain is surrounded by sea except in the north, where it borders on Doryun Mountain. A dense growth of oak trees and pine trees in Songho-ri looks like a wraparound skirt. Fantastic rocks and stones seem like raised flags. The mountain also looks like a yawning lion, a dragon or a tiger with bared teeth. The white snow on the mountain resembles a footstep someone made in the sky while looking at a place in the distance.
