Bangtaesan (Mt.) is located in Bangdong-ri, Girin-myeon, Inje-gun, Gangwon-do, and bordered between Inje-gun and Hongcheon-gun. It is connected with Seoraksan (Mt.) and Jeombongsan (Mt.) to the north, and Gaeinsan (Mt.) to the south.
The scenery of long ridges and deep valleys is so beautiful that the wonderful features of this mountain are frequently mentioned in a book 'Jeonggamlok'. As the traffic is inconvenient, it still preserves uncontaminated valleys. The deep blue waters of Achimgarigol (Valley) flow down like blue marbles. Jeokgarigol (Valley) has the unique form of an unfolded fan. The origins are Guryongdeokbong (Peak, 1,338m) and Jugeokbong (Peak, 1,443m) which was named since it looks like a rice scoop if seen from afar. And also in Bangtaesan (Mt.), a richly wooded natural recreation forest is created. Especially the Madangbawi (rock) and 2-tier cascade are wonderful.
Linden trees, birches, pine trees, oak trees, and many other kinds flourish, providing various views each season. Also a variety of wild animals such as catfish, hedge hogs, rabbits, deers, squirrels inhabit here.
