Taehwasan (Mt. ÷¼ü¤ß£) bordering Gangwon-do with Chungcheongbuk-do is a large beautiful mountain as its name means.  In addition, as it has a neat eulalia field, it is suitable for fall hiking.  However, it is an unknown mountain under the fame of Chiaksan (Mt.) national park in Wonju and Sobaeksan (Mt.) and Woraksan (Mt.) national park in Danyang.  For this reason, it seems that people have not visited here yet.  Also  Namhangang (River) flowing around the mountain and Gossi Cave add more fun in hiking.

The entrance of Taehwasan (Mt.) has mainly three points; Yeongchun, Palgoe-ri, and Gossi Cave.  As the trail from Gossi Cave is steep, most select Yeongchun or Palgoe-ri as an entrance.  The route of Yeongchun~the top~Gossi Cave or Palgoe-ri, the route of Palgoe-ri~the top~Yeoungchun, or Gossi Cave are good routes to fully enjoy Taehwasan (Mt.).  Or it is also good to descend back to each entrance point.  If you descend to Gossi Cave, you should consider the time of the last ship for Jinbyeol-ri.  The fastest route for the top is the route from Yeongchun as an entrance point.
