Yumyeongsan (Mt.) has been widely noted by its name. At first, it did not have a name on topographical maps, but was named after Mr. Jin Yumyeong, a member of Empore mountaineer association, when they reached it on their way of walking along the meridian in Korea in 1973. Although it had its name called Mayusan (Mt.) on the old map because horses were raised in this area, now it is commonly called Yumyeongsan. One route ascending from Yangpyeong offers another attraction of spacious grassland lying before you. You can use a path up to the mountain along the same route as Daebusan (Mt.) or vertically ascend the ridgeline connecting Daebusan (Mt.) with Sogunisan (Mt.). There is a cairn made up of piles of stones on the summit and a view from it is also a masterpiece.
