Huiyangsan (Mt. ýöåÕߣ 998m) is bordered between Gaeun-eup, Mungyeong-si (city) and Yeonpung-myeon, Goesan-gun, Chungcheongbuk-do.  It is a mystic rocky peak which rises high in the middle of Baekdu Daegan Mountain System between Songnisan (Mt.) and Mungyeongsaejae.

People used to compare Huiyangsan to "a figure of a knight in armor coming ahead on a horse."  It is also said that Great Buddhist Priest Jijeung observed geographical features in the midst of Huiyangsan and admired that 'as this mountain is hanging down like a folding screen, it looks like a phoenix of which wings are flying into the clouds.  As water of valleys looks like a belt of 100 layers, it looks like a figure that the waist of a dragon is prostrating on a stone.'  While the range of Baekdu Daegan Mountain System which erected Taebaeksan (Mt.) bends to the west here, and forms the steepest geographical features around this area.  Among them, the most beautiful mountain is Huiyangsan.

Views from the top are thrilling and beautiful.  First, the branches of Daeyasan (Mt.) and Songnisan (Mt.) rise steep like wild waves beyond Bongamyonggok (Valley) where Bongamsa (Temple) is located.  And Jangseongbong (Peak), Akuibong (Peak), and Gunjasan (Mt.) connecting Baekdu Daegan Mountain System stand like a folding screen to the west.  As the north view from the top is covered up by the oak forest, only a part of Sirubong (Peak) is shown.  The northeast view, however, is endlessly displayed   The range of Baekhwasan (Mt.), Undalsan (Mt.) and Juheulsan (Mt.) is very beautiful as blossoms of lotus flowers.
