Oseosan (Mt.) is the most renowned mountain of the western
Chungcheong region. It rises 791m high above sea level and the
clean water streaming down the valley forms small waterfalls
amid the thick natural forests. It takes around 50 minutes to
hike up to the top and at the mid-point of the hike trail,
there is a mineral spring which invites tired hikers and
revives their strength. At the peak, the splendid sight of
swaying eulalia and wild flowers as well as the sunset of west
sea unfold right before your eyes. Some of the must-see places
include Janghyun Reservoir for fishing, Guihakjeong for
historic excursions, and six pine trees growing intertwined
with one another.
