After driving towards Hongcheon from Yongmun, past Daemyeong Hongcheon Ski Resort and Biseul Hill, one comes across the main peaks of Sameum Natural Recreation Forest. It takes pride in Japanese Larch and Korean Pine plantations along its valleys, as well as dense Oak, Giant Dogwood virgin forests where a variety of animals and plants grow. Its unpolluted clean valleys and well conserved nature attract a number of tourists.
