The Yongdae Recreation Forest is located near the peak of
Jinburyeong (Ridge) adjacent to the national road leading to
Seoraksan National Park and the east coast. The small and big
valleys from Maebongsan (Mt., 1,271m) and Cheoljeongbong
(Peak, 1,172m) flows through the recreation forest. The
plantation forest of deciduous trees and natural forests of
oak, linden trees, pine trees, and birch conexist in harmony.
The forest has beautiful landscape in green, yellow, red, and
white each season. It is home of some wild animals like boars,
rabbits, pheasants, deer, squirrels, raccoon. Lenok,
natural treasure
No. 74, can be found in the streams of the recreation forest
as well.
